A Message from PLES

Welcome to Palmer Lake Elementary, a student centered school nestled in the Rocky Mountains. Our partnership with parents and the community are characterized by mutual commitments and collaborative efforts to ensure student success. Students move to a higher level of performance, develop personal skills and attributes that prepare them for their future. Our school initiatives continue to provide opportunities that support students in a technology-infused learning environment that supports problem solving and decision making. For example, our sixth graders who are taking a Robotics class are learning engineering, control, design, circuitry, and programming. In PE, these same students have the opportunity to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of dance as an art. Through the many learning activities that we have to offer, our students can take charge of their own learning and become confident in their own abilities. Students become teachers through the use of Smart Boards, Document Cameras and wireless keyboards enabling students to play an active role in instruction.

The professional staff at Palmer Lake comes together to develop a culture that is flexible, collaborative, innovative, and supportive of efforts to improve achievement for all students. Strong bonds are formed between staff and students based on trust and mutual respect. The foundation for student growth is based on respect, responsibility, results and safety. The Palmer Lake Elementary School staff is invested in your child’s future.
